FICCRF Grant 31 Jan 2011

The National Carbon Accounting Toolbox tracks greenhouse gas emissions and carbon stock changes from land use and management.  The project will consolidate existing mallee growth data by: pooling all available high quality growth data( including above and below ground yield and competition effects) on an industry wide basis; categorise data in relation to planting design, regional and local biophysical characteristics and management regime; and with the collaboration of DCC, CSIRO, and FFI CRC arrange to incorporate this data into NCAT.  The OMA has a number of collaborating partners on this project: FPC, FFICRC, DEC, NACC, South Coast NRM, SWCC, Wheatbelt NRM, DAFWA, Landgate and Rokitscience.  The project will run till June 2011.

Join the OMA to learn more about the industry and get privileged access to services as they develop. Membership is open to all interested parties and entitles the member to information bulletins and the opportunity to attend workshops and events at discounted prices.

The OMA is developing services to assist members and interested parties.   We have just launched our online database for growers to update their details (see logon above).  As an industry association we take an active role in policy discussions and represent our members on relevant committees and panels. The OMA also instigates policy reviews and is in constant contact with Commonwealth agencies and lobby organisations. more
