Conference 'Mallees – Markets and Farm Impacts' Friday June 28th, 2013

Oil Mallee Australia(OMA) and the Future Farm Industries CRC (FFICRC), with sponsorship from Clayton Utz will be presenting a conference 'Mallees –Markets and Farm Impacts'.

The conference will be held at the QV1 Auditorium on Friday 28th June and will be chaired by Mr Lex Hardie, President of the OMA.

It is a one day event in 2 sessions. Conference cost is $50 for one or both sessions and will commence at 8.00am for Registration and coffee, and conclude at 5.30pm with drinks for all participants on the QV1 Mezzanine.

Letters went out asking for nominations for young farmers to attend our 3 day tour in September.  See our {module_literature,i,86287}.

International Seminar on Climate Change: 16 March 2012

OMA's General Manager, Simon Dawkins, will be speaking at the international seminar, "Advances in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: Opportunities and Challenges". Simon will be giving an overview of recent legislation, emissions trading, and the emergence of a new carbon economy, including the Carbon Farming Initiative. Wagin Woolorama: 9 and 10 March 2012

OMA will hold a stall at the Wagin Woolorama on 9 and 10 March 2012. Please drop by to ask us your questions, or just say hello. We will have information on the Carbon Farming Initiative, the new Oil Mallee Code of Practice, and the latest developments in the biomass market. The website for the Woolorama can be viewed here.

The OMA is developing services to assist members and interested parties.   We have just launched our online database for growers to update their details (see logon above).  As an industry association we take an active role in policy discussions and represent our members on relevant committees and panels. The OMA also instigates policy reviews and is in constant contact with Commonwealth agencies and lobby organisations. more
